请叫我Leo 工程师,其实我不是学化工的!

 

我们在Alibaba上接到了一个询价,说他需要30%的添加量铝粉的FDM3d打印耗材。

天哪?30%的铝粉,这个是有难度的。添加过的人都知道,这个不是颜色的问题,这是铝粉在添加过程中会发生团聚反应的。而且30%的添加量,可能会导致材料没有熔体强度的。

老外认为这个很简单,他说他做过这个实验。

打死我吧,打死我,我也不相信!

因为,我也做过类似实验,他的纳米团聚一直是个很难解决的公共性难题!

我们告诉他这个会发生团聚反应,实验不是那么简单的。老外坚决不信。通过聊天,我们告诉他了几个关键的问题。

1, 铝粉在这样的数量中很难添加到热塑性材料中。如果简单的混合,会因为铝粉的密度大于热塑性颗粒,在挤出中通过材料缝隙沉积在螺杆中;

2, 铝粉加工具有很大的危险性,要合理处理好铝粉。

3, 铝粉在双螺杆的挤出中都会发生团聚,造成材料在挤出过程中出现块状物质,而影响了材料加工的精度;

4, 确保铝粉与需要挤出的热塑性材料界面相容。否则材料性能不会增强,反而会降低性能。

几天后,老外又在Alibaba上Call我,

他告诉我,他利用他的挤出设备完成了4次挤出,但是还是粗细不均匀,不能打印。

他开始相信我的给他的意见了。他问我,能不能一起来开发这个产品。

我告诉他,开发一款好的3D打印材料,不是简单的共混可以做到的。材料的开发有可能1-2个月就能出一个基本材料,然后做调整;这个时间可能是1年,甚至2年时间。不过,我愿意尝试开发这个材料。’

一周后,我接到一个长沙的电话,说美国客户Jason 要给我寄样,问我具体地址。 根据我的经验客户需要的400目的铝粉材料是更容易团聚的,所以我让厂家给我寄了两种规格的铝粉。一个是客户要求的,一个是我要求的。

    根据我们对铝粉的处理方法,但是,绝对不是简单的让铝粉和PVDF材料混合,而是先对铝粉做了表面处理。

    然后,蒸发、嗮干,切粒,烘干!

(说实在话,这些都是我的个人经验在操作,我也不知道是否会成功)

但是,我知道,对铝粉的处理是相当关键的一个环节,否则其他工作都是浪费时间和精力。

雨兄知道后,给我微信说!“哥,小心点,这东西很危险!”。

我知道铝粉的处理过程,我确保他不弥散在空气中,所以应该没有危险。

然后,我把处理的含量有20%的切粒母粒,直接加到PVDF中,采用单螺杆工艺进行挤出加工!

天哪!他竟然挤出了,而且电流很稳定!挤出的丝相对均匀,偶有团聚的块状物出现!

振奋人心!

我竟然把丝做成1.75mm直径,样品竟然有500克左右。兴奋之余,我用UPBOX进行了打印

.他竟然打印成功了一个模型!

 我拍照给Jason,他简直不敢相信!他是这么评价的:

这个实验真正的让人有更加开发成功,去挑战的欲望!

我给Jason 寄去了大概100克的试样,并且注明了,这个是试样,如果有任何不好的情况,不能通过Alibaba 来投诉我。

我重新做了一次实验,把铝粉的含量增加到30%,但是这次失败了!

我重新继续,从每一个环节,做好处理铝粉的配比过程,确保铝粉的处理与其他材料的比例合理和协调。

继续,失败!

我估计在某一个环节上,出现了问题!

2周过去了!

我将每一个环节都非常认真自己的做了规划和记录,并亲自做好实验和过程。

这次我们一次性加工了10公斤,发现线材的直径还很稳定,材料中偶有团聚的块状出现。

这次我们用UPBOX 直接打印了一个很大的件!我们知道,这种材料如果能通过UPBOX打印,那么其他3d打印机绝对没有问题。

正好Jason刚刚测试了我们的第一次样品,感觉非常好!

看到我能大批量给他生产的3D打印耗材,他完全相信这是真的,不是忽悠,是真的实现了他的想法。

Jason 给我写了一份很长的信,我外语不是很好,只知道他大概是很多的感激和惊讶和惊奇。他在Alibaba上问过许多厂家,我们是唯一一家给他专业答复,让他从不相信到相信,从没有一分开发费用到完全实现他梦想的公司。全文如下:

Sting 3D has done for me what no other 3D printing andtechnology company has been able to do, and quickly. I am beyond impressed withSting 3D and Leo, the sales manager. Leo and his team made a very technicalcustom filament for me, this filament is the first of its kind, he was able toproduce a working prototype within under two weeks! I feel that Sting 3D istruly a partner on my project, and they have made the process of inventing anew filament easy.  I have had manyAlibaba experiences, this experience has exceeded my expectations by an orderof magnitude. Leo constantly updated me on the development and production of myproduct with messages and pictures. I was happily surprised to see he alreadyhad completed a print on my custom filament request in a week. He sent thesample and it performed even better than his pictures indicated.  My project would still be in its infancy if Ihad chosen another company. They have taken on a challenge every other companyrefused, a technical one, with a fluoropolymer filament and metal filling andcompleted it in under two weeks.  Sting3D was willing to do all this for a small order. Sting 3D and Leo reminds me ofa neighborhood machine shop from 1950s where the customer did indeed comefirst, I thought the golden era of customer service and partnership was dead,Sting 3d is the company who will turn projects into a profitable success, andthey make it easy! All you need now is a good idea, and Leo will have yourbusiness running on full cylinders in no time. 

Leo’s knowledge and contacts in the field areimpressive. He was able to answer every question I could ask, questions thatare very niche and technical. He didn’t have the materials on hand to producethe filament, as this was a very unique project, yet he acquired them forme.  Leo did not ask for any money untilhe had successfully produced a working project, and his price was veryreasonable.  Sting 3D will propel myunique product to success, I recently read a research paper on a filamentsimilar to mine. He was able produce our own results quickly, even though wedid this independently.

After minimum time, minimum money I now have a productno one offers except me and all my questions answered! Sting 3D I believe isthe best choice for small, medium and large business looking to producefilament, common, custom, or very technical! Sting 3D has all of the equipment on hand, so they can test the productsthey develop on the equipment you have in your lab, business or university.  Sting 3D I believe is the only company inChina willing to produce filaments that others believe are too challenging(exotic plastics, and high metal fills). Believe me, I sent many inquires.

Once my product is developed they will be my choicefor mass production and injection moulding. I didn’t think it was possible, as a customer, to have my needs met thiswell. I didn’t...
